Simulation

deterministic: performs a deterministic simulation. This takes around 1 sec. The results are displayed afterwards.

stochasti: performs a stochastic simulation. This can take several minutes depending on the number of runs chosen. Afterwards, the results are shown as cumulative probability curves in the tabs Critical Events, TSS Loads und TSS Immission. Furthermore the individual runs are summarized in a table. Correlations of parameters and results are displayed in charts (x-axis: one parameter, y-axis: one result).

UNCSIM:performs a stochastic simulation. An external program (randsam.exe) from the program library UNCSIM of P.Reichert is used to create the random parameter values. This program allows to choose different sampling methods like Latin Hypercube and Quasi Random Generation (only useful if few parameters are varied).

Sensitivity Analysis:performs a sensitivity analysis. All parameters for which no constant distribution was chosen are varied. The number s of calculation points for each parameter can be set under Settings / Sensitivity Analysis. A simulation is perfomed at each grid point for each varied parameter. This results in s x (number of varied parameters) simulation runs. The parameter values are chosen equally distributed from lower to upper limit. If the lower limit is 9.0 and the upper limit 11.0, then the following 5 grid points are chosen: 9.0, 9.5, 10.0, 10.5, 11.0 (if 5 grid points were set under Settings / Sensitivity Analysis). After the simulations are performed the charts are generated (please note the progress in the status bar!) and afterwards displayed.
